Maybe I’m a little behind the times, maybe not. Stuffed into the bottom of my stocking this Christmas was a jade roller. This little device has actually made such a major difference in my mornings, especially those mornings where you’ve had a tad too much to drink the night before and you have to go to breakfast with your parents.
Since we all know that gravity is what’s keeping us grounded, have you ever wondered what it does for your skin? It is constantly dragging our skin down without us even realizing, and for those of you who can’t afford a facial 3 times a week (goals) we need a cheap alternative to keep our cheekbones high and lips plump. Cue the jade roller. This little guy is here to save the day.
Promotes your circulation, making your skin not just glow but dewy. My two favourite words when it comes to makeup.
It get’s rid of the puffy under eye and cheeks that occur after a poor nights sleep, or if you’re like me – any sleep at all. Is that a jawline I see?
It also reduces wrinkles, helps tone the skin and boost collagen (the stuff that keeps you young + hot)
How to Use
So this is just what I’ve been doing and it’s been working great for me. Take the large end on your cheek and roll up, basically wherever you put it on your face, roll UP. Don’t forget your neck/chest area, these are important too, we don’t want a saggy neck.
If you really want to go the extra mile, try putting on your favourite serum/moisturizer beforehand so it really seeps into the skin, mine is the drunk elephant brand. Yes, it is expensive but quality costs money people. I would suggest buying the “travel minis”collection – you get a mini size of each product they carry, it’s 8 products for around $110, use them all, choose the one you love/actually can justify paying the money on.
Also, put on your favourite sheet mask (you know the one that makes you look like hannibal lecter) and then take a jade roller over that, massage, and let the magic happen.
Ps. Please do not spend over $15 for your jade roller, I’ve been seeing them online for up to $100….I honestly got mine at Winners for $6.99.
